石北本線沿線マップ
JR石北本線は、新旭川駅から網走駅まで、総延長234kmの長大な路線です。

北見エリア
おすすめスポット
① 北見駅
オホーツク管内唯一「キヨスク」がある北見駅。
北見の銘菓「赤いサイロ」など人気のお土産品や鉄道グッズも購入できます。また、駅周辺には宿泊施設や飲食店が多く、2018年に移転オープンした北見バスターミナルが隣接しているなど、利便性の高い駅です。

日本有数の寒さを利用して、誰も見たことのない凍った川の下を泳ぐ魚たちや滝つぼの中で泳ぐ魚がみられる『 滝つぼ水槽 』があります 。
There are some special aquariums by the environments of Okhotsk. You can see the waterfall basin that fish swim under the frozen river in the winter.

ピアソン記念館
Pierson’s House
北見駅から徒歩15分
15 minutes on foot from JR Kitami station.
北見地方でキリスト教伝道に尽くしたピアソン夫妻の住宅で、北海道遺産に指定されています。
This historical building is registered in Hokkaido heritage.
Mr. and Mrs. Pierson who spread the Christianity lived in the house.

② 網走駅
石北本線と釧網本線の発着駅となる網走駅。
周辺には「博物館網走監獄」「オホーツク流氷館」など見どころが多く、観光客でにぎわう観光駅でもあります。毎年2月には釧網本線の斜里駅までの間を結ぶ「流氷物語号」が運行され、国内外から多くの観光客が集まります。

明治時代から実際に網走刑務所で使用されてきた建物を保存公開している野外歴史博物館です。太い梁や柱には、囚人達が削ったあとが荒く残っています。漫画の題材にもなっています 。
This is a historical field museum which was actually used as a prison since Meiji period. Scars that prisoners sharpening are remain on pillars.
呼人探鳥遊歩道
Yobito Natural trail
呼人駅から徒歩 15 分
15 minutes on foot from JR Yobito station.
網走湖に突き出している呼人半島にある遊歩道。大自然の中を散策し、バードウォッチングを楽しむことができます。4 月中旬頃にはミズバショウの群落を見ることができます 。
The trail is in YOBITO peninsula. When you stroll the trail, you can see the white arum in April and enjoy a birdwatching.
モヨロ貝塚

「オホーツク文化」とよばれる独自の文化を発展させたモヨロ人についての郷土博物館です 。
This is a local museum about people who were called MOYORO developed original culture. They had special culture named “Okhotsk cukture.”
流氷観光

網走駅からバスで 10 分
10 minutes by bus from JR Abashiri station.
オホーツク沿岸は海が凍る南限です。白い大地となって南下する流氷の衝撃的なまでの眩しさを流氷観光砕氷船にのって堪能できます。
Okhotsk coast is the southern limit of the sea freezes over. In
the winter, you can get ride on the cruse which crush the ice.

③ 女満別駅
網走国定公園に隣接し、網走湖女満別湖畔を臨む女満別駅。
駅舎は湖のほとりに立つ北欧風のメルヘンチックなデザインが特徴的です。図書館が併設されているほか、駅構内にはカフェもあり、様々な機能をもつ施設として地域住民や観光客に親しまれています。

10 minutes on foot from JR Memambetsu station.
春には水芭蕉、夏にはシジミ採りやアオサギのコロニー、キャンプが、秋にはしらうおを堪能し、冬はワカサギ釣りが楽しめます 。
You can enjoy four seasons in the lakeside. White arums bloom in the spring. Gray herons are gathering in the summer. Fall is the best season to eat whitebait. In the winter, you will enjoy fishing Hypomesus olidus on the
frozen lake.

女満別駅から車で ７分
7 minutes by car from JR Memambetsu station.
網走湖から斜里岳や知床連山まで360度の大パノラマを眺望できる絶景スポットです。夏から秋にかけては、一面のひまわりが展望台周辺を埋め尽くします 。
Around Abashiri Lake to the Mt.Shari , you can see 360 degree
panorama of landscape. In the summer and fall, this spot is filled with sunflowers .

女満別駅からバスで 15 分
15 minutes by bus from JR Memambetsu station.
ゆるやかな丘陵地に連なる畑が、季節ごとの表情を楽しむことができます。黒澤明監督の映画「夢」のロケ地にもなりました 。
You can enjoy the beautiful landscape by seasons. This is the location of the movie filmed by Akira Kurosawa.
オーヴェールの丘
Hill of Auvergne
女満別駅から車で 15 分
15 minutes by car from JR Memambetsu staion
ゴッホの最後の作品「カラスのいる麦畑」で描いたフランスのオーヴェールの景色に似ていることから、黒澤明監督の映画「夢」で撮影が行われた場所です 。
This scenery is similar to “Wheatfield with Crows” drawn by Vincent van Gogh so, Akira Kurosawa filmed a movie in this spot.

④ 美幌駅
1953年公開の映画「君の名は」の舞台となった美幌駅。
駅舎には観光案内所のほか美幌町の特産品や工芸品を販売する物産館「ぽっぽ屋」、木育ひろば「美幌林業館 きてらす」が併設されており、駅としての役割にとどまらず、町の賑わい拠点として愛されています。
ロマンチック街道

美幌駅から車で １０分
10 minutes by car from JR Bihoro station.
国道243号線を市街地から美幌峠に向かう約15キロは、通称「ロマンチック街道」と呼ばれ、立ち並ぶ白樺並木の緑の葉、青い空、白い幹のコントラストが人気 です。
A road between urban area to Bihoro toge Pass is called as a “Romantic Avenue.” White birch lines a street. The contrast color of trees and sky are popular to the tourist.

標高５２５ｍの美幌峠展望台からは、眼
下に日本最大のカルデラ湖である「屈斜
路湖」、そして今なお噴煙を吐く「硫黄山」が広がります。その美しい景色から、「天下の絶景」と謳われています 。
It has an elevation of 525 maters. From viewing platform, the beautiful landscape that is Kussharo lake and Mt. Iouzan command under your eyes.
遠軽エリア

⑤ 遠軽駅
平成27年に開業100周年を迎えた遠軽駅。
道内で唯一線路がスイッチバック（折り返し）式となっており、停車後は進行方向が前後入れ替わるため、乗客が180度回転させる珍しい光景が特徴的です。その姿をカメラに収めようと鉄道ファンも多く訪れます。

2019年 12 月 オープン。旭川紋別自動車道の末端となっている遠軽ＩＣからすぐの場所にあるスキー場併設の道の駅です。カフェ、フードコート、ショップ、観光情報発信コーナーを備えています 。
This facility opened in 2019. There are food courts café and ski ground. You can enjoy skiing and some activities in the forest.
生田原温泉ノースキング

駅からすぐの場所にある温泉ホテル。日帰り入浴、レストランも人気です。鉄道旅の宿やちょっと立ち寄って温泉やお食

It locates by the Ikutahara station. There are hot spring and restaurant, so that it is a good place for traveler by train.
丸瀬布森林公園いこいの森
Forest park in Maruseppu
丸瀬布駅からバスで15 分
15 minutes by bus from JR Maruseppu station.
かつて山奥から木材を運ぶために活躍していた森林鉄道ＳＬ「雨宮２１号」が今も現役で走っています。園内はゴーカートなどの遊具も充実。生きた昆虫とふれあえる昆虫生態館、日帰り温泉やまびこも隣接しています。
This steam locomotive used to be transport timber. And now, running as a park train. There are also some attractions, athletic and playground.
白滝ジオパーク交流センター

10 minutes on foot from JR Shirataki station.
大地のなりたちと、自然と人の関わりが学べる白滝ジオパークの交流拠点施設。併設する遠軽町埋蔵文化財センターでは、白滝黒曜石で作られた石器を通じて、旧石器時代の暮らしを知ることができます 。
This is a Geo park where you can learn the earth and nature relate to humanity. Through the stone implement made of obsidian, you can understand the lifestyle of the Paleolithic era.
